Class of 2016 Welcome Event Coming Up!
There will be appetizers, drinks, and a chance to meet and greet some of the area's students that have been accepted to Princeton. Though some of them may not have made their final decision to come to Princeton yet, this is a great opportunity to welcome them into the Princeton family, and show how Princeton ties are key long after graduation.
We look forward to seeing you there! Please RSVP to Jaime Laxalt (see below), but feel free to pay the suggested donation via pay pal here on our site!

On behalf of the Princeton Alumni Association of Nevada, I would like to wish you and your family happy and peaceful holiday season.
2010 was PAAN’s 2nd full year as an official regional alumni association. This year, we have continued our success in holding a diverse array of events in both the Reno and Las Vegas areas including: Our 2nd Annual Event in Reno, informal gatherings for televised lacrosse and football games in both the north and south, and an admitted students’ social in Las Vegas.
Our Alumni Schools Committee has also continued to be extremely successful in reaching out to all of the applicants to Princeton both for interviews, and once they have been admitted. As a result, our region boasts a very high yield.
This year, we are planning our 3rd Annual Event in Las Vegas for the spring as well as several casual get-togethers in Reno and Las Vegas throughout the year. I will be contacting you with details on upcoming events in January.
As we begin 2011, I would like to ask you to support PAAN in our 3rd full year as an official Princeton University regional alumni association with your annual dues contribution of $25.00. Your dues contribution and any additional donations should be tax deductible as we
have 501(c)(3) non-profit status.
If you are unable to contribute this year, or if you are only able to contribute a smaller amount, this in no way affects your status as a member of PAAN. All members are always welcome at all events! We have recently added the convenient option of donating to PAAN through PayPal. Please use the “donate” button on our website at www.paanevada.blogspot.com, or simply mail in a check payable to the Princeton Alumni Association of Nevada to:

I look forward to seeing all of you in 2011.

2nd Annual Event in Reno a Hit!
PAAN continues to gain momentum.
On Saturday, August 7th, approximately 25 Tigers as well as 10 Harvard and Yale alums met at the beautiful home of John and Carol Ann Badwick p’11, p’13 in Reno for an afternoon (and evening!) of merriment and edification.
Professor Lawrence Rosen from the Princeton Department of Anthropology was the guest speaker and entertained the audience with a 45-minute talk taking the listeners on a walk through a typical Arab town. This cultural expose’ was followed by questions and answers and, of course, more wine, cheese and sushi.
Princetonians in attendance included: Kirk Keil ’92, Matt McCormack ’93, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Brown p’06, Dr. and Mrs. Mike Lee ’55, Eric Casas ’00, Mr. and Mrs. John Badwick p’11 and p’13, James Badwick ’13, Mr. and Mrs. Norm Stephens ’64, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Gustafson ’55, PAAN Secretary Tim Lyons ’94, PAAN Technology Chair Greg Duncan ‘84, PAAN Northern Nevada Events Coordinator “Woody” Woodhouse ’59, Sybil Woodhouse s’59, PAAN ASC Chair Matt Mullin ’01, PAAN President Nick Donath ’83 and Professor Lawrence Rosen.
As is becoming our tradition to rotate between the North and South, we will be holding our 3rd Annual Meeting in the Las Vegas area in the Spring.
